Nyva is a very special pup.
Nyva is 6.25% Buhund and 93.75% Lundehund based on pedigree calculations. Her father, "Teddy B3" is part of the outcross project of the Norsk Lundehund Klubb. He was officially added to the Lundehund stud book last year, after being judged by Arne Foss, making Nyva a Lundehund on paper.
Another reason why Nyva is such a special pup, is because the mother's dad was born from semen that had been stored for about 30 years.
Her name is inspired by "Nivalis", the Latin name for the snowdrop flower. Just like snowdrops pushing through the last winter snow, Nyva stands for hope and new beginnings. This name symbolises elegance and toughness of these charming flowers, showcasing their strength even in the harshest conditions. For me, this embodies the Lundehund: Elegant without being weak.
